We had so much fun! We were able to visit Pearl Harbor and the PCC. We swam in the beautiful ocean and took a helicopter ride around the island.
As soon as we came home from Hawaii, the Air Force packed up all our stuff and we drove our two cars out to our new home in Champaign, Illinois. During our cross country drive we stopped in Amarillo, Texas for a visit with Luke's parents. We spent a few days visiting with family and then drove the remaining distance to Champaign.
We didn't stay in Champaign for very long because we both wanted to visit Europe. Luke is a Lieutenant in the Air Force so we fly for free from base to base. We drove down to Scott AFB and then flew to Andrews AFB (Washington D.C.). We had the opporunity to visit Washinton D.C. for a few days while we waited for a flight to Germany.

After a fews days of exploring Washington D.C. we flew from Andrews AFB to Ramstein AFB (Germany). We rented an awesome little car and drove through the night to reach Copenhagen, Denmark by the next morning. Since I served my mission in Denmark there were a lot of places I wanted to visit and a lot of people I wanted to see. Here are just a few pictures.
This is us just inside Tivoli Gardens.
This is Luke on our walking trip to Nyhavn.
This is Sophie! The first person I taught who got baptized! I love her!
I taught Christina (the cute Mom). I was there for their wedding and her baptism. They were sealed in the temple a few months ago!
This is the rad car we drove all over Europe. As you can see my husband towered over it.
That is so cool that you guys get to fly from base to base free! That's seriously an awesome perk! It looks like you guys are having a blast! I hope Illinois is treating you well, Ohio has been kind to us so far.
ReplyDeleteOh Marquette, if you only knew how happy it makes me to see pictures of you! I know a lot of people say this, but I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! My heart is overflowing! We'll talk soon!

You guys are so cute! I love your blog. I am also glad that you have one! :)
ReplyDeleteYour European car was about a million times better than ours! Haha we got a dinky little thing with zero cool stripes. I'm so glad you two were able to make it over there! It looks like you had a blast :-)
